Patrice Lumumba

Patrice Lumumba was the prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo from June 1960 to September 1960. He was imprisoned and assassinated in 1961 during the Congo crisis.

Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow, named for him, was an institution founded with the purpose of providing an education to students from developing nations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
