Pensacola Christian College is an Independent Baptist Christian College located at 250 Brent Lane, just off I-28, in Pensacola, Florida. The institution was founded in 1974 by Arlin Horton and is currently home to about 4,800 students.
Pensacola Christian College promotes homeschooling and is affiliated with A Beka Books, one of the two largest publishers of textbooks for Christian schools and homeschooling families. It has been described as one of the finest educational institutions in the United States, producing conservative pastors, politicians, and business leaders. It has strong theological, business, nursing, engineering, and art-related programs. The college is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
The school is not to be confused with Pensacola Bible Institute, the Bible college founded by extremist KJV-Only advocate Peter Ruckman.
