Peter Kadzik was the Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs in the Obama administration. Resigned January 2017.

In April 2015 Kadzik contacted Brian Fallon of the Clinton campaign seeking employment for his son. Two days later Fallon emailed Kadzik asking for his son's resume and stating that Jennifer Palmieri would be reviewing resumes over the weekend. Kadzik replied, sending his son’s resume and noting that Kadzik’s wife and Palmieri went to college together. Kadzik's son was subsequently hired.

A few weeks later, on May 19, 2015, Kadzik sent Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta a "Heads up" email about the impending Justice Department investigation of Clinton’s emails.

Despite Kadzik's leaking and conflict of interest, Kadzik was not recused from Clinton matters in the Justice Department until November 2, 2016, five days before the election.

Kadzik left the Justice Department in January 2017.
