Pop Art is a style of visual art. It featured the use of elements from popular culture. Famous examples included Andy Warhol's paintings of cans of Campbell's Soup, Roy Liechtenstein's paintings that resembled printed comic strips, magnified to reveal their Benday halftone tints as a striking pattern of dots.
Well-known American artists in the genre included Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, and Roy Liechtenstein.
