Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (William Arthur Philip Louis) (born June 21, 1982) is second in line to the crown of the United Kingdom. He is the eldest son of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales (the heir apparent) (born 1948) and Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997). He was educated at Eton College and at St Andrews University, Scotland, where he gained a degree in geography. He subsequently attended the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and later joined the RAF, becoming a Flight Lieutenant in the Search and Rescue Force.

He married Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Middleton (born January 9, 1982) on April 29, 2011,[1] whereupon his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, bestowed them with the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Earl and Countess of Strathearn and Baron and Lady Carrickfergus. On July 22, 2013, his first son, Prince George of Cambridge, was born. [2]
