Randstad

Randstad ('ring city' or 'edge city') is the name given to the conurbation or partial ring of major cities in the west of the Netherlands consisting of Amsterdam, Haarlem, Leiden, The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Dordrecht, and Utrecht, and lesser towns. It includes the four largest Dutch cities; and its overall population of 7.5 million is almost half that of the entire country.
