A regular verb is a verb that follows the normal conjugation patterns for the tenses and persons.

In English a regular verb forms both its past tense and past participle by adding "-d" or "-ed" and occasionally "-t" to the verb's base form.

For example: I searched all over for my car keys.
Here searched is the past participle of the regular verb search.
