Robert Brown Aderholt, born July 22, 1965 (age 47), has been a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Alabama's 4th congressional district, since 1997. He serves as a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Representing a socially conservative district, Aderholt opposes gun control, same-sex marriage, and received a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. [1]. He was the only House member from Alabama to vote against the $700 billion bailout of the financial markets.
In 2012, he endorsed Rick Santorum for the Republican presidential nomination.
