Ron Carter is a jazz bass player best known for his tenure in Miles Davis's 1960's quintet. As he appears in over 2500 albums, he is one of the most-recorded jazz artists in the world. After leaving Davis's band, Carter has continued to perform in small-group settings as well as with his nonet.
