Sam Francis

Samuel Lewis Francis (San Mateo, 1923 - Santa Monica, 1994) was an American abstract painter, greatly influenced by Lyrical Abstraction. His works are at the Louvre, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, and San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art. He also exhibited in Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and other art centers.
