Saxon is an extremely versatile wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) capable of travelling across rough terrain and fording water obstacles up to 90 cm depth. Variants in service include a Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) recovery vehicle; armoured ambulance; command post vehicle; internal security (IS) version; and vehicles modified to carry an L37 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) turret.[1]
