"Scientific fascism" is a term coined by United States Congressman James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, in response to the Climategate scandal which erupted in November, 2009. The term apparently means a coordinated effort by a group of scientists to enforce a certain point of view upon others; to prevent the acceptance of points of view contrary to those beliefs; to prevent the publication of papers by other scientists with whom they disagree; to delay or stymie the release of data to other scientists who could check their work in accordance with the steps of the scientific method.

Scientific fascism is used to prop up pseudoscientific liberal doctrines like climate change and evolution.
