A season is a time of the year. The four seasons are spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and correlate with warmth, heat, coolness, and cold, linked also with the phases of agricultural life. Crops are sown in spring, summer they are cultivated, autumn harvested, and in winter, lie dormant. The characteristics of each season and degrees of temperature vary depending on location.
