Population statistics

Seismosaurus was a species of dinosaur found in New Mexico in 1979. Claimed to have been the largest dinosaur known at that time, it has since been eclipsed in size from other species found in Argentina. Current studies have Seismosaurus slightly smaller than its originally estimated weight of 30 tonnes and 150-foot length,[1] with further studies strongly indicating the animal may have actually been an older specimen of the species Diplodocus.[2]
