Sharon Percy Rockefeller

Sharon Percy Rockefeller (born December 10, 1944) is chief executive officer of WETA-TV in Arlington, Virginia. She is also the wife of former Governor of West Virginia and current U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller and served as that state's First Lady from 1977 to 1985.

She was born in Oakland, California, on December 10, 1944. She is the daughter of former Senator Charles H. Percy. Her twin sister Valerie was later murdered. She earned a Bachelor's degree at Stanford University and later studied at Morris Harvey College and West Virginia Wesleyan College. She married Jay Rockefeller in 1967. The Rockefellers have four children and six grandchildren.

The Rockefellers live in Northwest Washington, DC and retain their permanent residence in Charleston, West Virginia.[1]
