She's Leaving Home is a Beatles song written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon for the 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The song was inspired by the story of Melanie Coe, who ran away from home in 1967 when she was only 17. [1]
