Sheila Kuehl

Sheila Kuehl is a member of the California state legislature. She was born in 1941 to Jewish parents. In 1994, she was the first openly lesbian woman elected to the California legislature.

In 2002, Kuehl sponsored a bill that would guarantee abortion rights and permit easier access to the abortion pill RU-486 in California.[1]. She strongly supports same-sex marriage.
