Shi Huangdi

Shi Huangdi was the founder of the Qin dynasty and the creator of the Chinese Empire. He ruled from 221 to 210 B.C. He is remembered for his ruthless conquests of rival states, standardizing practices, and forciful organization of labor for military and engineering tasks. His tomb, with its army of life-size terracotta soldiers, has been partially excavated.
