Spiro T. Agnew (1918 - 1996) was Vice President under Richard Nixon from 1969 to 1973. He was Governor of Maryland before becoming Nixon's running mate. Agnew pled no contest to failure to report income and resigned the Vice Presidency on October 10, 1973. He was the second Vice President to resign from office. [1]
