Steven Milloy is a Canadian-born libertarian commentator[1] who is an adjunct scholar at [[The Cato Institute |Cato]], a think tank in Washington, D.C. Milloy focuses on scientific issues and publishes JunkScience.com and CSRWatch.com.

In September 2001, Milloy criticized an over-hyped asbestos scare in the 1970s for forcing the removal of fireproof asbestos from the World Trade Centers and contributing to their collapse on 9-11. Milloy's controversial theory was supported years later by government reports and a book entitled "Eco-Freaks," by John Berlau.[2]
