Talk:An American Carol
From Conservapedia
I removed the statement "Don't expect any good ratings from movie critics because they are nearly all left-leaning liberals" because it's a command, not a statement, and because it wasn't verified. I replaced it instead with actual ratings from critics, tabulated by rottentomatoes.com, a well-respected movie site that pulls ratings from all national critics. Feel free to put something in there about liberal bias, but I'd like to see it sourced; otherwise it just makes us sound whiny.
Additionally, the first two paragraphs read more like an advertisement than a description. I was going to change it myself, but I tend to be heavy-handed with such things, and wanted to give the original author a chance to use a scalpel before I get out my chain saw :) HelpJazz 13:50, 6 October 2008 (EDT)
"fraud"
The only problem I have with the claims of fraud is that every mention of it I find is either unsubstantiated or points back to the AC promotional website. (It is down right now, however). How do we know it's not just a publicity stunt to boost poor ticket sales? I would love to find some actual evidence, but it seems to be all rumors right now. HelpJazz 20:49, 8 October 2008 (EDT)
CP contributor review
Saw the movie tonite. While I loved the directors previous movies, this one didn't make the cut. The serious nature of the topics could not be overcome with humor. Liberalism is destroying America.--Jpatt 22:40, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
