Calculus is hard

Calculus is Latin for pebble, and pebbles are hard. Good choice for naming this subject of mathematics. -^_^- Fuzzy 21:03, 11 March 2008 (EDT)

Pebbles are also small. Calculus is the counting of small things. Learn your etymologies. ArnoldFriend 16:46, 25 September, 2008 (EDT)

Multivariable Calculus

Should I add a page for multivariable calculus? It is a very simple and straightforward extension of single variable calculus. WilliamBeason 23:32, 29 December 2008 (EST)

Although I would not call it "a very simple and straightforward extension of single variable calculus", I think adding multivariate calculus would make the article more comprehensive.
