I have expanded this definition. Also, it seemed overly focussed on the US so I have edited those references out. If you are talking about the common law you are talking about a substantial number of countries which includes the US. The common law does not centre on the US. In fact the US is probably somewhat isolated from other common law jurisdictions.--Horace 19:04, 22 February 2007 (EST)
