I honestly believe that Andy Schlafly is a legitimate candidate; perhaps not enough famous but an authentic conservative. I would like to see him again in the list. --Joaquín Martínez 19:30, 10 December 2010 (EST)

Joaquin, I appreciate your compliment, but must politely decline. But thank you for all your insights throughout the year ... how about if I nominate you?!--Andy Schlafly 20:02, 10 December 2010 (EST)
 :) --Joaquín Martínez 21:53, 10 December 2010 (EST)
I just want to add that I also think Mr. Schlafly definitely deserves a nomination, and his humble refusal to accept it is yet another demonstration of conservative values - could you imagine, for example, the liberal Obama declining the Nobel prize? That would never happen. Anyway, Mr. Schlafly's efforts in running Conservapedia, leading the Bible translation project, educational endeavors, and active participation in the political sphere (for example, fighting for New Jersey residents' right to recall elected officials) are just a few examples of his stellar conservative activism. --TeacherEd 22:50, 10 December 2010 (EST)
I do agree! --Joaquín Martínez 08:01, 11 December 2010 (EST)

Was there a declared winner for Conservative of the Year 2010?--Andy Schlafly 23:56, 9 December 2014 (EST)
