Talk:Debate:Is the evidence in favor of evolution convincing?

Have you been convinced by evidence in favor of a theory that hasn't been proven yet? What great faith you have! I have been disappointed with claims of so-called evidence that proves that evolution is now a scientifically proven theory decade after decade. Always this proof is based on many other assumptions and theories that also haven't been proven with the scientific method. Darwinistic evolution has yet to be proven using the purely scientific method for more then 150 years now. Micro Evolution isn't even evolution but only the variation within each species. In order for any evolution to occur there has to be new genetic code where there wasn't any before. This has never been seen in any prehistoric evidence or current history. Only the loss of genetic code within a species over time has been proven. That's called de-evolution and isn't evolution. Whether your belief system requires your adherence to evolutionary theory has more to do with if your're a Humanist, or a Christian. In other words if you believe in a Creator or just the Creature. If you are convinced by evolutionary theory than it only means that you are a Humanist. Read the Humanist Manifesto 1 and 2 to see what I mean. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Roopilots6 (talk) (March 2007)
