Talk:Estate tax

This is Constitutional? How can the government charge a child for receiving their dead parent's property? Inheritance is practically sacred. This is horrible and immoral. Do the legislators have any idea how heartless this tax is? Also, the rate of 45%, that is a lot to take. Even lottery winnings are not that heavily taxed! inheritance is not sacred. Optimists will recommmend that rich people die this year--there is no federal inheritance tax in 2010, but it will go back in in 2011.RJJensen 12:30, 13 January 2010 (EST)
