Talk:F-14 Tomcat
From Conservapedia
Current operators: Iran
What is it with the Americans constantly selling weapons to unsavoury states and then having it bite them in the rear? What other country has sold weapons to two countries (Iran and Iraq) at war with each other, only to see both of those countries take on hostile stances towards the country that sold them the weapons? Foresight, anyone? AliceBG 21:23, 6 March 2008 (EST)

Remember also, that Iran is right on the Russian border, and the Russians have been interested in expanding to the Persian Gulf since the tsarist days. A high-tech air force is an excellent deterrent.
Funny how life works, though. Now there's talk of Iran replacing those Tomcats with Russian Mig-31s.--Frey 17:30, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
