Any thoughts? I have pulled a few sources together and I am up to 1793. It will be a big job, and any comments would be welcome.stevendavy

The first paragraph of this article is bizarre. The most famous? Most everyone was killed by the guillotine?

Yeah, they had to import French people INTO France from Louisiana and Quebec to work the fields. Crackertalk 17:30, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

Spelling

I've fixed a lot of the words. Have a look through the article to make sure I haven't inadvertently changed any meanings. I think I've used US spellings through out. Hannibal ad portas 20:54, 28 May 2007 (EDT)

Only the one thing to alter.

Taxes

There were many causes, to put too much emphasis on tax might be an error, as it would be with the American War of Independence. I will add a section on causes at a later date. stevendavy

Genocide in Vendée

What about the French genocide in Vendée against the Chouans (catholic and royalist peasants led by Georges Cadoudal and Henri de La Rochejacquelein) ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Frenchconservative (talk)

Great over view

Whoever wrote this piece on the French Revolution, I haven't read anything more succinct. I have tried to understand the revolution from history books and it was never quite completely clear to me. I actually didn't realize that Jacobin leftism was rejected by the conservatives of the Directory.
