JJR, I am going to revert your change of the ship(s) of the line statement in the first paragraph.back to the plural. Unwritten but implicit in my version is the the fact that there were various rates or sizes of ships of the line (see Rates (warship) and that the frigate was smaller than these. The link to ship of the line was, and still is, on the last line of the second paragraph. I hope this does not mean carronades at 3 cables. :)

I have also put it back into the sailing ship types category to keep it with the rest of the fleet of historic types of sailing ships. I have retained the warship cat. though (which, when I think about it should also apply to many others in the category whose links I updated yesterday.)AlanE 13:35, 13 February 2009 (EST)
