What's the best way to mention the current riots and/or demonstrations calling for his ouster? Is it because he's not democratic enough, or because he's not anti-semitic enough? --Ed Poor Talk 15:55, 1 February 2011 (EST)

I say govt corruption plays a huge role and the destitute disenfranchised population revolted. They rightfully believe Mubarak is a puppet of the West, financially and in the peace process he is. So I believe they kill two birds with one stone- Shariah govt that will better the citizens of Egypt and support Hamas over Israel. The democracy talk is all a ruse and they have no intentions of democracy. Islam hates democracy and this playing out exactly how Iran portrayed the need to ouster the Shah.--Jpatt 16:18, 1 February 2011 (EST)

Obama and Mubarak

"Since Barack Obama has become president, the United States has been less willing to criticize Egypt's lack of democracy." And I thought that Obama supported the protesters in 2011. So what is true?--JoeyJ 04:35, 31 July 2014 (EDT)
