Talk:Impeachment and removal
The section on Clinton has been rather obviously copied and pasted unthinkingly from somewhere else: 'Hillary Clinton, pollster's choice to run in 2004' - th=at statement must be at least four years old.
Since we're discussing the impeachment of President Clinton, when is the current president going to be impeached and removed from office, as some conservatives, such as Bruce Fein, have already called for?Panini 22:44, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
- Good question; if those incompetents in the House & Senate don't do something, that may the basis throw those bums out. RobS 23:27, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
Precise meaning of term
Should we say that impeachment is removal? This seems confusing to me.
I'd rather say that impeachment is the first step in removing an official from office. Impeachment is the formal accusation by the House. Removal requires confirmation by the Senate. --Ed Poor Talk 21:53, 11 July 2007 (EDT)
