I have removed the absurd comment "He is noted for having achieved very little during his tenure."

I've edited the sentence "He subsequently disappointed many in his party by pursuing relatively centrist policies, and by appointing Heseltine as his Deputy Prime Minister." His centrist policies helped him to win the 1992 general election (which his party obviously liked) and his appointment of Heseltine as DPM was widely seen as brave and imaginative.
