I deleted the "every continent" remark for obvious reasons and a webpage that I noticed had various historical inaccuracies. If anyone gets the chance, watch the battle scene from the 1948 Olivier film of Henry V. It's way before the days of special effects but gives an idea of what went on. No, the classic English longbow is EXACTLY what Robin Hood would have used. The problem is that in most films he's shown using an American flatbow, which obviously is completely wrong.
