If anyone on this website truely cared about the truth of history in general, they might be educated enoungh to know that the picture they have of Louis XVI is actually Louis XIV almost a century before. I am a conservative and am sorry to say I am finding some of what is on this website a bit insulting. But please, get the picture right atleast.

The picture will be corrected; if content needs correction, then inform us of that in a positive manner, instead of something condescending. Karajou 12:57, 16 March 2008 (EDT)

I am sorry for being condescending but am very happy you changed the picture. The great people of the past deserve their true selves shown to the world. Good luck on with this project.

There is a fine book on the subject of Anglo-French relations from about 1700 on...That Sweet Enemy written by Robert and Isabelle Tombs - he's a Brit, she's French - Random House I think, though I have a "Pimlico" publication. It does a very complicated subject very well and is also an entertaining read... AlanE 18:05, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
