I agree with Ed that this is a model concise and well-written piece. I'd suggest maybe one addition, which is (based on my reading and perceptions, which may be mistaken - I've only read TRLT and People of the Lie) that Peck was ostracised by the mainstream psychological/psychiatric community because his works did assume the existence of God, and also (eg People of the Lie) of palpable evil.
