Changes

I changed some of the wording in the introduction to make it more straight forward, for example, putting the mention of his lack of presidential nomination in 1852 before the mention of his failure in the 1856 election. I also removed the section about how the U.S. would have been if his policies were different from the second introductory paragraph, as it was mostly unsourced speculation(If I am wrong and there actually was a source to that, please notify me and insert that text back into the articule). I think this article badly needs some attention, and I'm off to do some research for it. --StefonP 22:49, 18 December 2013 (EST)

Go at it! A lot of our early presidential articles need work - I made a quick edit updating the template, and Karajou updated the picture - best of luck with content!--IDuan 23:22, 18 December 2013 (EST)
