I removed the following:

Key battleground states for the 2008 Presidential Election include Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Ohio lost 31,800 jobs in goods-producing industries between January 2006 and January 2007, including a loss of 21,900 jobs in manufacturing.[1]

Pennsylvania lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs between July 2000 and March 2007.[2]

Wisconsin lost 8,600 manufacturing jobs in the last year (Feb. 2006 to Feb. 2007).[3]

All three states punished Republican candidates in the November 2006 elections.

It's almost relevant to the article, but it seriously needs to refine it's focus. I see where it is going, but it's just not there yet. I tried to reword it myself but couldn't get it right, so instead I moved it here. I have no objections if someone wants to fix it and return it to the article Jazzman831 17:22, 13 July 2007 (EDT)
