I'm sorry, is this an encyclopedia or an editorial page? The claim that Manning is "overrated" is completely unsupported, as are all the other opinions stated in the article as is.---eg
- The assertion is well-supported. The liberal media hype about Peyton Manning could hardly be greater, and yet he repeatedly underachieves when it counts as in latest season.--Andy Schlafly 12:27, 31 May 2013 (EDT)
- The article states that Manning "is the worst player in the history of the NFL." It only takes one counterexample to disprove that. Ryan Leaf, selected immediately after Manning in the 1998 NFL draft, lasted less than four NFL seasons, threw for 14 touchdowns against 36 interceptions, and completed just 48.5 percent of his passes. - It's obvious what Andrew Schlafly is trying to accomplish in making these edits or allowing them to stand. Manning displaced Tim Tebow as quarterback of the Denver Broncos and that's why Mr. Schlafly and Conservapedia have such animosity toward him. See also the recent edits to Tom Brady, who stands ahead of Tebow on his new team's depth chart.
- Ironically, Peyton Manning has contributed thousands of dollars to Republican candidates including George W. Bush and Mitt Romney (source: opensecrets.com and others) without any donations to Democratic or left-leaning candidates, so the notion of Manning being favored by the liberal media is preposterous.---Solomon
