! Part of this article was copied from Citizendium and Wikipedia but the copied text was originally written by me, RJJensen (under the name Richard Jensen and rjensen) and does not include alterations made by others on that site. Conservlogo.png

I wrote the article myself and originally posted parts of it to Wikipedia and Citizendium. Here it replaces an incorrect one sentence stub. Specifically I replaced this stub and did not copy any of it, because it is wrong: Second Party System is a term that refers to the competition that resulted after the Democratic Party split in the 1830s, and the Whig Party fought the Jacksonian Democrats for the government's control. After the Whigs disintegrated during the 1850s, the Republican Party quickly emerged to challenge the Democrats. In fact the Democratic party did not split in the 1830s, and the Republicans were not part of the Second party System. RJJensen 07:57, 24 November 2008 (EST)

Your claimed article(s) must be channeling Thomas L. Purvis

Do you also write under the name Thomas L. Purvis? Did you write "A Dictionary of American History", published in 1997? Because the exact same opening sentence appears there. Not the paraphrased opening sentence I used I used to just create the stub, but the exact same words of the article you say is yours. I await your apology. --₮K/Talk 12:22, 24 November 2008 (EST)

TK has it backwards. TK copied the statement from Purvis word-for word, and I deleted it because it was incorrect. Yes, historians like Purvis (and me) make mistakes and need help too. RJJensen 18:15, 24 November 2008 (EST)
Sorry, RJJensen.....I didn't copy anything word-for-word, I merely re-worked one short sentence from Purvis, [1] Are you really so spoiling for a fight that you want to keep on being a liar/ And why did you, if your intentions are honorable, go into attack mode at the beginning anyway, calling once sentence plagiarism from Wikipedia? You are supposedly from Wikipedia, surely you know what making a wanted pages stub is, and therefore would know I wasn't finished. Your intentions are now crystal clear. --₮K/Talk 18:33, 24 November 2008 (EST)
I apologize for being hostile to TK. That was not my intention. My goal is to provide Conservapedia with high quality history articles from a conservative perspective. RJJensen 19:08, 24 November 2008 (EST)

Please work this out without sysop intervention. I will look in tomorrow. --Ed Poor Talk 21:16, 24 November 2008 (EST)
