This needs some work. Plymouth Bay Colony was founded in 1620 by Separatists (Or pilgrims as some older texts have it) who were led by William Bradford (after the death of their initial leader).

Massachusetts Bay Colony on the other hand, was not established until 1630, and they were led by John Winthrop. Plymouth Bay Colony was absorbed by Massachusetts Bay in the 1690s.--McIntyre 16:16, 6 June 2007 (EDT)
