Talk:Truth

Ok so I started this article, but I am not a Christian so someone more knowledgable will need to add relevant Bible verses etc. Also someone who has a philosophical background should expand on the various ideas and theories behind truth. As it stands, I started this article simply because I felt it was a major omission in a Christian encyclopedia, no doubt it will be completely transformed beyond these humble beginnings. --TJ 10:58, 14 August 2007 (EDT)

truth

I believe that there is such a thing as absolute truth. I believe that our creator embodies that truth. We may have a portion of absolute truth, but none of us have "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" we do not possess absolute truth. Some of us love the truth and strive our whole lives to get closer to it, to God. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Seekthetruth (talk)

I thought this was supposed to be "The Trustworthy Encyclopedia"! Why is it so that half of this article is more about the religion Christianity that truth? Either we write something about all religions and their view of truth, or we keep the article strictly philosophical. One cannot say that Christianity is certain truth, and thus it has nothing to do in this article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Immanuelkant (talk)

Well... as to saying that Christianity is certain truth, the (unofficial?) policy here as I understand it is that, in fact, you can. Feebasfactor 18:48, 14 December 2007 (EST)

Different definitions of truth

The definition of truth as a moral value and social imperative is extremely important. However, there's also the philosophical discussion, so I've moved that to a separate page (truth_(logic)) so we can concentrate on the concepts separately. -Foxtrot 01:09, 12 September 2008 (EDT)
