Conflicting info

"Although homosexual behavior is very common in the animal world," is in the article, but so is "Properly speaking, homosexuality does not exist among animals.... ", as well as "a homosexual orientation, if one can speak of such thing in animals, seems to be a rarity". Can we be a bit more consistent? EmL 17:27, 10 June 2010 (EDT)

  • I suggest reading the section several times and if that doesn't work please take a reading comprehension course. conservative 00:57, 29 June 2010 (EDT)

I'd like some clearance, I think the site could use an overhaul in layout, at the very least. TOC to the top of the pge, just below introduction, that sort of thing. Tardis 18:42, 14 June 2010 (EDT)

Misplaced modifier

Could someone fix the misplaced modifier in the first sentence of the "Theories..." section? The sentence currently reads

"Homosexuality has a number of causal factors that influence its ultimate origination in individuals which will be addressed shortly."

However, this is problematic because it grammatically indicates that the individuals will be addressed shortly, when obviously, it is the casual factors that will be addressed shortly, not the individuals themselves. A reword like this

"Homosexuality has a number of causal factors that influence its ultimate origination in individuals; these factors will be addressed shortly."

or by moving the "which will be..." phrase after the word "factors." Since this article is one of our most popular/important ones, I want to make sure that it makes grammatical sense to the average reader/visitor. Thanks for the help! Tyler Zoran Talk 13:51, 16 July 2010 (EDT)

Missing sources

When looking through this page's citations to attempt to find further information on several of the subjects, I found many of the sources could no longer be retrieved. Could any of these be updated or retrieved via archived versions? It would be very helpful to me in my research. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vikten (talk) -- 14:31, 19 July 2010

Good point, Vikten! Always happy to help out a Steven's student...and you should feel free, as an editor here at CP, to find those updated links as well. --ṬK/Admin/Talk 18:03, 19 July 2010 (EDT)
Which citations? conservative 19:35, 19 July 2010 (EDT)
I think I found most of them and possibly all the dead citations/links. I changed about 10 plus citations/links. Let me know the footnote numbers and I will change any residual citations/links that need to be updated. conservative 20:12, 19 July 2010 (EDT)

FAO Conservative

Conservative, the wiki won't let me edit your talkpage, so I've left a message here. Would you be interested in collaborating on some essays about homosexuality and atheism? About their lies, myths, suicide rates, that kind of thing? Thanks, StephenKP 20:31, 8 November 2010 (EST)

Thanks for your offer, but I will decline your offer. I would prefer to pursue other matters at this time. conservative 04:45, 17 November 2010 (EST)
