Temptation Island

Temptation Island was a TV program designed to undermine the commitment of four unmarried couples, by bringing them to an exotic Caribbean island, not letting the men and women of each couple communicate with each other for 12 days, and placing the men with 12 single women specifically chosen to appeal to their desires (with an equal and opposite situation for the women).

The idea of the show was satirized in the chillingly similar "I Can Do Better", a fictional game show depicted in modern version of "The Stepford Wives"

  • We will all be right there as happily-married couples are flown first class to a tropical island paradise where they will be completely surrounded by professional prostitutes. [1]
