Texas Hold'em is a variant of the card game poker.

The game adds a community hand of five cards while each player retains the standard two card hand. A round of betting occurs at the beginning of the game after each player is dealt their cards. Once betting finishes, the "flop" is revealed - the first three of the five community cards. Another round of betting ensues, after which the "turn" (the fourth community card) is shown to the players. The same pattern follows until after the "river," the final community card is revealed. After a final round of betting, each player reveals his or her hand, and the player who can construct the highest ranking hand out of the community cards and their two cards wins whatever has been bet into the pot.
