The Paradoxical Commandments were written by Kent M. Keith in 1968 as part of a booklet for student leaders. [1]

A version was passed around, copied, altered slightly, and found its way to a placard in Mother Theresa's hospice in India. Many people assumed that she or one of her staff had written it, until Keith's book was published.
