The Scaffold

The Scaffold were a humorous folk-rock group of the 1960s who had hits with 'Lily the Pink' (based on the life of patent medicine manufacturer Lydia Pinkham) and 'Thank You Very Much (for the Aintree Iron)'. The members were:
- Roger McGough, a prominent member of the Liverpool Poets
- Mike McGear, brother of Sir Paul McCartney
- John Gorman, who was later a presenter on seminal children's TV show Tiswas
