Tim Johnson is a Democratic United States Senator from South Dakota. In December, 2006, he suffered a hemmorhage, and has not yet returned to his duties. As a result, Johnson has missed more votes than any other Senator so far this session, as of August, 2007. [1] Johnson is one of a very small number of Senators and Congressmen with family members serving in the armed forces: Johnson's son Brooks is in the United States Army.
