Todd Mitchell Palin (born September 1964) is the husband of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, which made him the First Gentleman of Alaska. He is an oil field production operator and a champion Iron Dog snowmobile racer.[1] From 1995 to 2000, he was a member of the pro-states-rights Alaskan Independence Party; since 2002, he has officially been a political Independent.[2] Palin is a graduate of Wasilla High School; although he has taken some college courses, he has not sought to complete a degree.

On January 9, Todd Palin endorsed Newt Gingrich for president.
