Tom Allen

Thomas H. (Tom) Allen (April 16, 1945) is a member of the United States House of Representatives representing Maine's 1st congressional district. He is a liberal Democrat who has missed 129 votes in Congress. He has also never introduced a bill that has been signed into law. Allen is running for the Senate in 2008 against moderate Republican Susan Collins. Critical Insights — an independent polling firm in Portland, Maine — showed that he is trailing Collins statewide 57% to 30%.
