Blocking

A list of offenses and maximum block lengths (in parentheses). Block lengths are subject to the discretion of sysops.

Vandalism

Clearly Deliberate

• 1st offense (Infinite)

Not clearly deliberate

• 1st offense (Warning)
• 2nd offense: (2 weeks)
• 3rd offense: (Infinite)

Obscenity

Explicit

• 1st offense: (anywhere from 3 Days to Infinite depending on the severity)
• 2nd offense: (always infinite)

Implied

• 1st offense: (Warning) or short block (12-24 hours) depending on severity
• 2nd offense: (1 week)
• 3rd offense: (Infinite)

Usernames

Usernames that are considered offensive should be blocked (Infinite) but when you block uncheck all of the boxes so that the person can still create a different username.

Conduct detrimental to Conservapedia

Attempting to embarass Conservapedia

Any editing done in an attempt to make Conservapedia look bad. For example editing with the intent that it be criticized on blogs. ^[1] 1st offense (6 months) 2nd offense (Infinite) (This particular offense does not reset after 90 days)

Non-Productive Editing

Edit Warring

Between Non-Sysops

• 1st offense: (Warning)
• 2nd offense: (12 hours)
• 3rd offense: (1 week)
• 4th offense: (infinite)

Between A Sysop and a non Sysop

The Non-sysop will be blocked by an uninvolved sysop

• 1st offense: (Warning)

This will allow the sysop to finish his editing

• 2nd offense: (anywhere from 3 Hours to 1 Week)

If continuation on the same topic, for a new topic go back to step 1

• 3rd offense: Same Topic (up to Infinite) Different Topic (1 Week)
• 4th offense: (Infinite)

Between 2 Sysops

Discuss issue on appropriate talk page, If an agreement cannot be reached, then the panel will decide the dispute. Sysops will not be blocked for edit warring.

Insults

If a user repeatedly posts insults on another users talk page.

• Start by discussing the issue with that user,
• If you cannot work it out ask a ‘’different’’ sysop to warn them
• If they persist, then the user may be blocked (3 days) by agreement of 2 sysops not including the user against whom the insults were directed.

Other Counterproductive Editing

Such as

• Users who spend much of their time arguing in an unreasonable manner and do not make productive edits,
• Users who consistantly work against the goals of Conservapedia,

Use the following procedure.

• Start with a warning,
• If the user does not improve give a short block (12 hours)
• If the user still does not improve (1 week)
• If the user still does not improve (infinite)

Disagreement between sysops

If there is disagreement between sysops about the blocking of a user due to unproductive editing, the following procedures should be used. The user in question will be unblocked for the duration of the process.

Discussion

The disagreeing sysops should attempt to decide the issue quickly.

Arbitration

If an agreement cannont be reached, the disagreeing sysops can agree on another sysop to make a descision

Panel

The argument can be brought to the Panel if an agreement cannot be reached.

Notes

• All offenses except for Attempting to embarass Conservapedia, reset after 90 days of editing without violating the rules.
  • In order to keep track of this, all warnings and notifications of blocking from Sysops must be kept on the user talk page in an appropriately labeled section at the top.
• The presence of these rules does not preclude the addition of rules in the future.
